Abstract: In a multicarrier CDMA system, a data stream is divided into two or more substreams and each substream is assigned to a different carrier. An RLP context is created for each carrier and the substreams are transmitted within a corresponding RLP context over a designated carrier. If a carrier is lost or dropped, the corresponding RLP context can persist after loss of the carrier and retransmitted packets tunneled to a different carrier. ® KIPO & WIPO 2008
