Abstract: PURPOSE: A color filter, coloring paints for the color filter, a fabrication method thereof and a coloring composition for the color filter, which is formed by using the fabrication method thereof are provided to realize high transmissivity and high color-purity together, thereby obtaining a color filter comprising excellent red filter segments. CONSTITUTION: At least one red filter segment, at least one blue filter segment, and at least one green filter segment are comprised. At least the one red filter segment has a ratio(A570/A595) between an absorbance(A570) for a light having 570nm wavelength and an absorbance(A595) for a light having 595nm wavelength at more than 20. At least the one red filter segment contains a coloring paint carrier consisting of a transparent resin, a precursor thereof, and a compound thereof, and a red coloring paint.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A colored composition for color filter is provided to make it possible to obtain a green filter exhibiting increased brightness and to obtain a color filter comprising at least one red segment, at least one blue segment and at least green segment. CONSTITUTION: The colored composition includes a colorant carrier comprising a transparent resin, a precursor of a transparent resin or a mixture thereof; and a green colorant dispersed in the colorant carrier and comprising at least one first halogenated metallophthalocyanine pigment having copper as a central metal, and at least one second halogenated metallophthalocyanine pigment having a metal selected from the group consisting of Mg, Al, Si, Ti, V, Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Zn, Ge and Sn, as a central metal. The content of the second halogenated metallophthalocyanine pigment is within a range of 1 to 80 mol % based on the total amount of the green colorant.
