Abstract: 본 발명은 슬라브 영상에서 슬라브 관리번호 영역을 추출하는 방법에 관한 것으로, 더욱 상세하게는 조명의 변화가 심하고 복잡한 주변 환경 속에서 조명의 변화에 민감하지 않은 경계영상과 경계영상에 인접한 주변 화소들의 정보를 이용하여 슬라브 영상으로부터 관리번호 영역을 효율적으로 추출하는 방법에 관한 것이다.
본 발명에 따른 슬라브 영상으로부터 슬라브 관리번호 영역을 추출하는 방법에 의하면 조명의 변화와 복잡한 배경의 환경에서 슬라브 관리번호 인식 시스템의 효율 향상에 있어서 중요한 부분을 차지하는 슬라브 관리번호 추출 단계에서 성공률을 높일 수 있으며 이로 인해 슬라브 관리번호 인식률을 향상시킬 수 있다는 장점이 있다.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A method for extracting a management number region from a slab image is provided to improve a recognition rate of a slab management number recognition system, thereby enabling managers to check whether management numbers are identical. CONSTITUTION: A common region is extracted from an slab image(S110). The common area is converted to a boundary image(S120). Boundary pieces and boundary circumference information are saved(S130). The boundary pieces are integrated. A horizontal management number domain is extracted(S150). The extracted horizontal management number region is selectively binarized(S160). A management number area is extracted.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A method for automatically extracting a management number of slab image is provided to improve a success rate of slab management number extraction stage in a change of illumination and an environment of complex background. CONSTITUTION: A brightness image is extracted from a slab image(S110). A binary image is generated from the brightness image(S120). A boundary of horizontal direction is extracted from the binary image through horizontal border extraction filter of a prewit(S130). A boundary of vertical direction is extracted to coordinate-set image through a vertical border extraction filter of a prewit(S150). A final character string is selected through appropriate function among extracted candidate strings(S170). Accuracy of separate character division border is improved(S180).

Abstract: PURPOSE: An edge-based text localization algorithm and a segmentation algorithm for automatic slab information recognition are provided to recognize slab management numbers rapidly by performing character string extraction and character division in high success rate based on border images. CONSTITUTION: A border image is extracted from a color image(S110). Based on the extracted border image, a candidate string is extracted (S120). In the extracted candidate string, up and down locations of the character string are decided through width to height ratio of the character string and a character point(S130). Right and left locations of the character string is decided through the slope and thickness of characters(S140). In the image, the character string is divided into the characters(S150).

Abstract: A method for determining the abnormal state of a slab management number marking device by using the digital image processing technique is provided to grasp the abnormal state of a nozzle of the slab management number marking device and the remaining amount of paint and inform a user of the grasped result. Paint is embedded inside a marking device(110). Through an outlet of a marking device nozzel(115), the paint is spouted on front one-side of a hot slab(120). The spouted paint marks a slab management number(125). If the marking device marks the slab management number on a slab and then moves to the next, a camera(130) obtains the whole slab image by capturing the slab.
