Abstract: PURPOSE: A virtual image synthesis device and a method therefor are provided to smoothly synthesize a virtual image with an original image according to the pose of a marker although the marker is distorted or bent by using a multi-blob marker. CONSTITUTION: An initial blob extracting unit(110) extracts a characteristic parameter of a blob with respect to an initial frame of an inputted image. A blob tracking unit(120) tracks a central point of a blob in a corresponding frame using the specific parameter of the blob determined in the previous frame. An image synthesizing unit(130) synthesizes a virtual image using the central point of the blob by a text mapping method.

Abstract: 본 발명은 가상 영상 합성 장치에 관한 것이다. 본 발명의 다중의 원형 블럽을 이용하여 원영상과 가상 영상을 합성하기 위한 가상 영상 합성 장치는, 입력되는 영상의 초기 프레임에 대한 블럽의 특성 파라미터를 추출하기 위한 제 1추출 수단; 이전 프레임에서 결정된 블럽의 특성 파라미터를 이용하여 해당 프레임에서의 블럽의 중심점을 추적하기 위한 추적 수단; 및 상기 블럽의 중심점을 이용하여, 텍스처 매핑 방식으로 가상 영상을 합성하기 위한 합성 수단을 포함한다. 본 발명에 따르면 적응형 추적 윈도우를 이용한 다중 블럽 추적을 수행하고, 블럽의 특성 파라미터를 이용하여 블럽 추출을 함으로써, 마커가 틀어지거나 휘었을 때에도 원영상과 가상 영상을 자연스럽게 합성할 수 있도록 하는 효과가 있다.
