Abstract: 본 발명은 홍채 영상으로부터 홍채 코드(Iris code)를 추출하여 사용자 등록 및 인증 처리를 수행함과 동시에 일반 영상에 대한 저장 및 재생 처리를 수행하는 홍채 인식 및 일반 영상 처리용 칩(chip)을 포함하는 홍채 인식 기능을 구비한 휴대용 통신 단말기에 관한 것으로서, 적외선 투과 필터와 적외선 차단 필터로 구분되고 그 하단부에 모터 연결부가 형성되어 있는 필터부와; 필터부의 모터 연결부에 결합되어 정역회전함에 따라서 필터부를 좌우방향으로 이동시키는 리드스크루 샤프트가 구비된 모터; 필터부의 적외선 투과 필터를 통하여 사용자의 홍채를 촬영하고, 적외선 차단 필터를 통하여 일반 영상을 촬영하는 카메라; 및 적외선과 가시광선을 동시에 조명하는 램프로 구성되는 영상 촬영 장치를 포함한다.
본 발명에 의하면, 단일 카메라로 홍채 영상과 일반 영상을 모두 촬영하여 홍채 인식 처리 및 일반 영상 저장/재생 처리를 수행할 수 있다.

Abstract: A portable communication terminal with an iris recognition function is provided to take a picture of an iris image by using a single camera, thereby taking, storing, and reproducing a general image as conducting user registration and authentication based on iris recognition. A picture-taking device comprises as follows. A filter unit(31) is divided into an infrared transmission filter and an infrared blocking filter, and is equipped with a motor connector in a lower section. A motor(32) is driven by a particular key signal of a portable communication terminal(30), and has a lead screw shaft which moves the filter unit(31) to right/left directions as rotating in forward/reverse directions by being coupled with the motor connector. A camera(33) takes a picture of a user's iris through the infrared transmission filter, and takes a general image through the infrared blocking filter. A lamp(34) lights up infrared and visible rays simultaneously.
