    Abstract: PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method are provided to measure intrinsic adhesion energy based on an interaction of two materials. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for measuring intrinsic adhesion energy includes a vibration preventing table(6). A 3-axis sample sliding device(4), a high precision electronic balance, an optical microscope(1), and a temperature and humidity adjustment chamber(7) including a CCD camera(2) are installed on the vibration preventing table(6). The CCD camera(2), the 3-axis sample sliding device(4), and the high precision electric balance are controlled by a micro processor(10). A sample holder(3) is installed at the 3-axis sample sliding device. An upper sample(8) is installed at the sample holder(3) and a lower sample(9) is installed at the high precision electronic balance.
