Abstract: PURPOSE: Provided are a magnetic ion exchange resin, which is able to be used for drinking water purification, easily recovered and regenerated, shorten time for purifying raw water and includes a magnetic substance, and a method for preparing thereof. CONSTITUTION: The magnetic anion exchange resin is characterized in that anion exchange functional groups are introduced to crosslinked polymer resin particles including magnetic substances. The method comprises steps of (a) dispersing an organic layer consisting of magnetite, monomer and a cross-linking agent in water under nitrogen atmosphere; and (b) after adding a polymerizable surfactant having a quaternary ammonium group and an initiating agent to the dispersion, performing a suspension polymerization.
