Abstract: 저가형 멀티모드 반도체 레이저를 펌핑광으로 사용하며, 희토류 첨가 광섬유와 고비선형 광섬유를 링 공진기 구조에 적용함으로서 연속 파형 초광대역 광원을 구현할 수 있는 연속 파형 초광대역 레이저 광원 공진기 및 이를 이용한 의료용 진단기기에 관하여 개시한다. 본 발명은 펌핑광을 공진기 내로 입력하는 펌핑광 결합기와 상기 펌핑광을 받아 소정 파장 대역의 시드 빛으로 변환하는 희토류 첨가 광섬유와 상기 희토류 첨가 광섬유에 의해 변환되어 공진기 내에서 오실레이션되는 빛을 연속 파형 초광대역의 레이저 광원으로 변환시키는 고비선형 광섬유 및 상기 고비선형 광섬유에서 발생되는 초광대역의 레이저 광원을 출력하는 커플러를 포함하여 형성되는 연속 파형 초광대역 레이저 광원 공진기로 구성된다. 따라서, 간단하고 저가형이면서도 연속 파형의 초광대역 레이저 광원을 구현할 수 있다.

Abstract: A continuous wave supercontinuum laser source resonator, and a medical diagnostic device are provided to prevent tissues from being damaged due to instantaneous over-output of a pulse mode supercontinuum laser source by using a continuous output waveform in the medical diagnostic device. A continuous wave supercontinuum laser source resonator includes a pumping light coupler, a rare-earth element addition optical fiber(10), and a high nonlinear optical fiber(20). The pumping light coupler inputs pumping light into the resonator. The rare-earth element addition optical fiber(10) receives the pumping light and converts the pumping light into a seed light of a predetermined wavelength band. The high nonlinear optical fiber(20) converts the light, which is converted by the rare-earth element optical fiber(20) and oscillated in the resonator, into a continuous wave supercontinuum laser source. The laser source resonator is a Fabry-Perot type resonator further having a mirror connected to the pumping light coupler.

Abstract: An optical interference signal generator based on a variable chirp optical fiber grating for tomography is provided to facilitate integration through miniaturization by using an optical fiber instead of a bulk optics element. An optical interference signal generator based on a variable chirp optical fiber grating for tomography includes a broadband light source(10), an optical filter(20), an optical coupler(30), a circulator(50), a variable chirp optical fiber grating A(60_1), a variable chirp optical fiber grating B(60_2), and a photoelectric converter(70). The broadband light source(10) outputs light with a bandwidth greater than 30nm. The optical filter(20) receives a signal from the broadband light source(10) to convert the signal into a spectrum in a shape of Gaussian. The optical coupler(30) receives the signal outputted from the optical filter(20) to divide the signal into two signals. One of the signals is inputted into a sample(40) to be measured and the other signal is transmitted to the circulator(50). The circulator(50) has 3 ports. A signal transmitted to a first port is transferred to a second port and then the signal is transmitted to the variable chirp optical fiber grating A(60_1). The signal returned to the second port after reflecting from the variable chirp optical fiber grating A(60_1) is transmitted to the third port and then is transmitted to the variable chirp optical fiber grating B(60_2). The reflected signal returned to the third port after reflecting from the variable chirp optical fiber grating B(60_2) is transmitted to the optical coupler(30) through the first port.
