Abstract: The present invention relates to an ion exchange resin for the removal of phosphorus capable of increasing selectivity for phosphorus to effectively remove phosphorus in water, and a manufacturing method therefor. The manufacturing method for the ion exchange resin for the removal of phosphorus according to the present invention comprises the steps of: preparing a chelating resin having a polyamine group; and mixing the chelating resin with an aqueous solution of copper(II) chloride dihydrate (CuCl_2·2H_2O) to fix a copper ion to the surface of the chelating resin.
