    Abstract: PURPOSE: An oil viscosity probe and an oil viscosity monitoring apparatus and method using the same are provided to more accurately measure viscosity because a magneto-elastic ribbon is coupled to the housing of the oil viscosity probe. CONSTITUTION: An oil viscosity probe comprises a housing(110), a magneto-elastic ribbon(121), an electromagnetic coil(122), a temperature sensor(130), and a printed circuit board(140). The housing is installed in a member accepting oil. One end of the magneto-elastic ribbon is fixed by a first insert member inside the housing while the other end is partially or completely immerged in oil. The electromagnetic coil is installed in the housing, surrounding the magneto-elastic ribbon. The temperature sensor is installed in the housing in order to measure the temperature of the oil. The printed circuit board is electrically connected to the electromagnetic coil and the temperature sensor.

    Abstract: Various embodiments of an oil monitoring apparatus are provided. In one embodiment, an oil monitoring apparatus includes a probe and an analyzing module in-line connected to the probe. The probe includes: a first sensor for measuring respective optical intensities of a light passing through the oil at respective red, green and blue wavelength ranges; a second sensor for measuring a water content; and a third sensor for measuring a temperature of the oil. The analyzing module calculates and monitors chemical deterioration of the oil, total contamination of the oil, a relative saturation of the oil by water and temperature of the oil based on the output signals of the first and third sensors. The oil monitoring apparatus monitors various parameters relating to the deterioration of the oil and to the physical properties of the oil.

    Abstract: An integrated inline oil monitoring apparatus is provided to monitor the temperature of the oil and the relative saturation rate of the oil and water using one detecting unit. An integrated inline oil monitoring apparatus comprises a housing(210), a first sensor(220), a second sensor(230), a third sensor(240), and a controller. The first sensor comprises an optical transmission(221) and a color sensing member. The color sensing member outputs a signal by measuring the optical intensity at the wavelength range of the respective other colors. The controller computes a ratio value of the optical intensity at the green wavelength range about the optical intensity at the red wavelength range. The controller computes the optical intensity change value at the red, green, and blue wavelength region and the initial state of the oil. The controller computes the temperature value of the relative saturation rate of the water and oil. The controller comprises a processor monitoring the temperature value, the ratio value, the change value, and the relative saturation.
