    Abstract: PURPOSE: A biomarker is provided to be related to immunity reduction due to aging, and to be used as a marker for diagnosis of immunity reduction. CONSTITUTION: A biomarker for diagnosis of immunity reduction due to aging contains one or more metabolites among a metabolite of an amino acid metabolism pathway and a metabolite of a lipid metabolism pathway. The metabolite of an amino acid metabolism pathway contains one or more metabolites selected from the group consisting of cysteic acid, homocysteine, taurine, L-cystathionine, S-adenosyl homocysteine, dimethyl-L-arginine, N10-formyl-tetrahydrofolate, 5,10-methenyl tetrahydrofolate, methionine sulfoxide, cystathionine sulfoxide, S-nitroso glutathionine, and 5-hydroxy-N-formylkynurenine. The biomarker is used for diagnosing immunity reduction due to aging from urine or blood.
