    Abstract: A method and an apparatus for condensing and dewatering sludge are provided to improve the efficiency in condensing and dewatering of the sludge, by repeatedly controlling the optimum input amount of organic polymer, and to reuse a discarded water by producing a filtered water in which the polymer does not remain. Sludge is condensed and dewatered by controlling a flow of the sludge, inputting organic polymer into the sludge and stirring the sludge and the organic polymer through quick rotation and filtration, separating solid and a filtered solution from the stirred sludge and organic polymer in a condensing and filtering bath(6), and dewatering the resultant sludge. The inputting of the organic polymer is performed by measuring a flow electric potential value of colloid, which exists within a quick filtered solution generated by the quick rotation and filtration, and repeatedly inputting positive type organic polymer for electrically neutralizing the colloid. The measuring of the flow electric potential value is performed by detecting voltage at both ends of a passage of a streaming potential detector when the quick filtered solution is passed through the passage.
