Abstract: The present invention relates to a metal nano-particle and a method for manufacturing the same. The metal nano-particle of the present invention includes a metal seed, a metal particle including metal a shell which surrounds the metal seed, and which has a thickness of 0.5 to 50 nm, and anionic ligands which are combined to the surface of the metal particle. According to the nano-particle and the manufacturing method in the present invention, the metal nano-particle is provided with more even particle size distribution than a tradition nano-particle, and with a particle having an outstandingly fine size. In addition, the metal nano-particle has excellent optical characteristics.
