Abstract: PURPOSE: A vehicle speed displaying apparatus is provided to be capable of suppressing overspeed by displaying a running speed of a vehicle so as to be exposed at the exterior. CONSTITUTION: A vehicle speed displaying apparatus comprises an analog-to-digital converter(310), a light emitting diode(LED) driving part(320), an LED(330), and a constant voltage generating part(340). The analog-to-digital converter(310) converts an analog speed value from a speed sensor into a digital value, and the LED driving part(320) decodes the digital value from the analog-to-digital converter(310) to output an LED drive signal. The LED(330) displays a vehicle speed in response to an output of the LED driving part(320). The constant voltage generating part(340) generates a constant voltage(5V) when a start key(350) becomes on and drops the constant voltage through a zener diode(ZD1). The dropped voltage(3V) applied to the LED driving part(320) and the LED(330).
