    Abstract: The method for forming a silver-white coloured oxide layer on the surface of Al or Al alloy material comprises; anodizing in the electrolyte containing 2-2.6 wt.% oxalic acid, 0.1-0.2 wt.% phosphoric acid and 0.07-0.1 wt.% sulfuric acid, and using 30-70 voltage, 0.5-5 A/dm2, 20-45 deg.C; cleaning the oxide layer in the nitric acid; and absorbing a sensitizer into the cleaned oxide layer. The oxide-layered Al or Al alloy is used for photogravure for printing.
