Abstract: PURPOSE: A composition containing hinokitiol for preventing and/or treating ischemic diseases is provided to suppress PHD2 activation and to effectively stabilize HIF-1 alpha. CONSTITUTION: An angiogenesis promoter contains hinokitiol of chemical formula 1 or pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof as an active ingredient. A composition for preventing or treating ischemic diseases contains hinokitiol of chemical formula 1 or pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof. The administration amount is 0.1-100 mg/kg a day. A health food composition for preventing or treating ischemic diseases contains hinokitiol of chemical formula 1 or pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof. The health food composition is used as beverage, gum, tea, health supplementary food, food additives in the form of powder, granules, tablet, or capsule.
