    Abstract: A heat pump system using a ground water is provided to increase heat exchange efficiency of the heat pump system by providing a blocking layer to prevent the ground water from flowing from a ground to an inflow end of a pumping pipe. In a heat pump system using ground water, a well(20) is formed under ground to receive the ground water. A pumping pipe(12) has an inflow end and supplies the ground water in the well to a heat pump(10). A feeding pipe(14) has a discharging end at a position higher than the inflow end of the pumping pipe and feeds back the ground water discharged from the heat pump to the well. A blocking layer(30) is provided in the well at a place between the inflow end of the pumping pipe and the discharging end of the feeding pipe. And, the blocking layer plays a role of preventing the ground water discharged through the discharging end of the feeding pipe from flowing into the inflow end of the pumping pipe.
