Abstract: The present invention relates to a composition including a Diospyros kaki extract for preventing, reliving, and treating retinal disorders. The composition of the present invention is eco-friendly because the content of the composition is a natural extract as an active ingredient, and is easy to get in daily living. The composition of the present invention protects retinal nerve cells from oxidative stress, suppresses apoptosis by suppressing apoptotic proteins and by suppressing the expression of the apoptotic proteins in vivo and in vitro. Therefore, the composition is useful, when preventing and treating retinal disorders characterized in hard to perfectly cured and managing for a lifetime without side effects. Abstract: 본 발명은 감나무 추출물을 포함하는 망막질환의 예방, 개선 또는 치료용 조성물에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에 따른 조성물은 자연 유래의 추출물을 유효성분으로 함유하여 자연 친화적일 뿐 아니라, 일상 생활에서 쉽게 구할 수 있다는 장점이 있다. 특히 본 발명에 따른 조성물은 산화 스트레스에 대하여, 망막 신경 세포 보호 효과를 가지고, 아포프토틱 단백질을 억제하여 세포사멸에 대한 보호효과를 가지며, 시험관 내 또는 생체 내에서 세포사멸 관련 단백질의 발현 또는 상기 단백질을 억제시켜 세포사멸 보호효과를 가진다. 따라서, 본 발명에 따른 조성물은 완치가 힘들고 평생 동안 관리해야 하는 망막질환의 예방 또는 치료에 있어서, 부작용이 없으면서도 질환을 치료할 수 있으므로 유용하다.
