Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for using Cu-Zn-Mg-Al-based oxide that contains CuO, ZnO, MgO, and Al_2O_3 at a particular ratio as a reactive catalyst for synthesizing methanol from a synthetic gas and to a method for synthesizing methanol from a synthetic gas by using the catalyst.
