Abstract: 본 발명은 시냅스에서의 성상교세포와 뉴런 간의 새로운 커뮤니케이션 기작을 밝힌 것으로, 성상교세포에서 세포막에 위치하는 G-단백질 수용체를 활성화시킴으로써, 인접한 시냅스 후 뉴런 세포막의 글루타메이트 수용체를 활성화시켜서 세포내의 칼슘농도를 증가시키며, 탈분극을 유도하고 내향 전류를 증가시켜 뉴런에서의 신경 전달을 조절하는, 성상교세포-뉴런 간 신호화 기작에 관한 것이다.

Abstract: A nerve cell protecting agent, a screening method of a nerve cell, and a neurotransmittion promoter are provided to control the neurotransmittion at neuron by increasing the calcium concentration in cell by activating the glutamate receptor of a neuron cell membrane after the adjacent synapse. A nerve cell protecting agent contains the inhibitor or antagonist of the G-protein coupled receptor existing in astrocyte as an active ingredient, and protects a nerve cell from the neurotoxicity by the overactivation of the N-methyl-D-aspartic acid (NMDA) receptor of neuron after synapse by the glutamate emitted from astrocyte.

Abstract translation: 提供神经细胞保护剂，神经细胞的筛选方法和神经递质启动子，通过在相邻的突触后激活神经元细胞膜的谷氨酸受体，通过增加细胞中的钙浓度来控制神经元的神经递质。 神经细胞保护剂含有存在于星形胶质细胞中的G蛋白偶联受体的抑制剂或拮抗剂作为活性成分，并通过N-甲基-D-天冬氨酸（NMDA）受体的过度活化来保护神经细胞免受神经毒性 的神经元突触后由星形胶质细胞释放的谷氨酸。
