Abstract: PURPOSE: A composition for preventing or treating multiple sclerosis is provided to effectively suprpess NADPH oxidase and/or MMP activation and to treat multiple sclerosis without side effect or toxicity. CONSTITUTION: A pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating multiple sclerosis contains 95.0-99.9 wt% of LeuSH as an active ingredient. The LeuSH inhibits NADPH oxidase and MMP9. A method for screening a material for preventing or treating multisclerosis comprises a step of preparing a sample; a step of adding a substrate of NADPH oxidase to the sample; a step of adding a candidate material to the sample; and a step of selecting a material which suppress NADPH oxidase activity.

Abstract translation: 目的：提供用于预防或治疗多发性硬化症的组合物以有效地抵抗NADPH氧化酶和/或MMP激活并且治疗多发性硬化而没有副作用或毒性。 构成：用于预防或治疗多发性硬化的药物组合物含有95.0-99.9重量％的LeuSH作为活性成分。 LeuSH抑制NADPH氧化酶和MMP9。 筛选用于预防或治疗多硬化的材料的方法包括制备样品的步骤; 向样品中加入NADPH氧化酶底物的步骤; 向样品添加候选材料的步骤; 以及选择抑制NADPH氧化酶活性的材料的步骤。
