Abstract: A flame retardant polyolefin resin composition, and a method for preparing a polyolefin foamed particle by using the composition are provided to inhibit bleeding out and blooming, thereby improving melt welding and secondary foaming property. A flame retardant polyolefin resin composition comprises 100 parts by weight of a polyolefin resin; 1-30 parts by weight of a halogen-based flame retardant; 1-30 parts by weight of an ethylene-vinyl acetate resin; 1-50 parts by weight of nanoclay; 2-50 parts by weight of a foaming agent; and 150-500 a dispersion medium. Preferably the ethylene-vinyl acetate resin contains 1-35 wt% of a vinyl acetate group; and the nanoclay is an organic onium ion-intercalated nanoclay.

Abstract: A method for preparing a polyolefin-based foamed particle is provided to improve the moldability of a polyolefin-based foamed particle and to reduce the cost for treating wasted water by reusing a dispersion medium. A method for preparing a polyolefin-based foamed particle comprises the steps of dispersing linoleic acid, a vegetable oil containing linoleic acid or an organic compound containing a fatty acid of lecithin in a dispersion medium; injecting a polyolefin-based resin particle and a foaming agent to the obtained one and increasing the temperature to prepare a polyolefin-based foamed particle; withdrawing a dispersion medium from the prepared polyolefin-based foamed particle to obtain a polyolefin-based foamed particle; and reusing the withdrawn dispersion medium to the preparation step of the polyolefin-based foamed particle.

Abstract: A method for preparing a polyolefin-based foamed particle is provided to prevent the deterioration of formability and physical properties due to the dispersant remaining on the surface of particles by using no dispersant. A method for preparing a polyolefin-based foamed particle comprises the steps of introducing a hydrophilic functional group to the surface of a polyolefin-based resin particle; putting the surface-treated polyolefin-based resin particle, a foaming agent and an aqueous dispersion medium into a pressure-resistant container, heating them with stirring, and discharging the resin particle with an aqueous dispersion medium and a foaming agent under the circumstance of lower pressure than that of the container, thereby foaming the resin particle.
