Abstract:
PURPOSE: A multi-carrier direction number sequence CDMA system using a turbo code on the basis of a nonuniform repetition code is provided to heighten a speech quality in a mobile communication environment when adopted for a base station and a terminal by giving more diversity degree to odd-even check symbol in coding and decoding a data bit. CONSTITUTION: A turbo coder(10) encodes a data bit, an input signal. A repeater/symbol corresponding unit(20) converts a turbo code symbol output after being coded from the turbo coder(10) into a repetition code symbol in a frequency domain and suitably separates the converted repetition code symbol signal. Insertions(30,31,32) change a channel for the turbo code symbol output from the repeater/symbol corresponding unit so that an influence in case of a severe attenuation can be suitably distributed to symbols of a codeword. The first multipliers(40,41,l42) multiply the turbo code symbols which have been suitably out of order by a signature number sequence, and make a spread spectrum. Impact modulator(50,51,52) modulate the spectrum-spread signal to an impulse form. Chip wave shaping filters(60,61,62) converts a waveform of a signal output from the impact modulator smoothly and cancels interference between symbols. Second multipliers assign the signal output from the chip wave shaping filter into each frequency band. The first adder(80) adds all signals output from the second multipliers and transmits it.
Abstract:
An apparatus and a method for adaptive code acquisition are provided to improve the performance of a code acquisition system and obtain theories suitable to design the system actually. Adaptive code acquisition is performed by applying a detection method, which uses a cell average constant false alarm rate scheme, to signals received from a plurality of antennas, in a non-homogeneous fading circumstance. The cell average constant false alarm rate scheme uses a detection rate expressed by the following equation; PD=ICA(SP)(1-ICA(0P))^(M-1). The cell average constant false alarm rate scheme uses a false alarm rate expressed by the following equations; PFA=1/LPx(ICA(0P)(1-ICA(SP))(1-ICA(0P))^(M-2))+((LP-1)/LP)x(ICA(0P)(1-ICA(0P))^(M-1)).
Abstract:
An adaptive code acquisition method using a receiver diversity and a CFAR(Constant False Alarm Rate) scheme is provided to acquire and estimates a performance characteristic of a CFAR processor having a cell average, a GO(Greatest Of) value, and SO(Smallest Of) value in a homogeneous noise environment when acquiring a pseudo-noise code. An adaptive code acquisition method using reception diversity and a CFAR scheme performs detection by applying a signal received from a plurality of receiving antenna. The CFAR scheme is shown as below. PD=IH,CA(alpha){1-IH,CA(0)}M-1, PFA=1/Lp[IH,CA(0){1-IH,CA(alpha)}{1-IH,CA(0)}M-2] + (Lp-1)/Lp[IH,CA(0){1-IH,CA(0)}M-1]. The present invention relates to a multicarrier direct sequence code division multiple access (DS/CDMA) system using a turbo code with nonuniform repetition coding. In particular, it relates to a multicarrier DS/CDMA system using a turbo code with unequal diversity order in its code symbols instead of using a convolutional code.
