Abstract: The present application relates to a silicon carbide based composite material and a manufacturing method thereof. The manufacturing method of the silicon carbide based composite material comprises of the following steps: preparing a carbon preform by carbonizing wood; producing the high-density carbon preform by impregnating the carbon preform to a carbon-based resin; and impregnating the high-density carbon preforms to a silicon.
