    Abstract: PURPOSE: A gain controlled amplifier provided with a compensation circuit is provided to maintain the gain of the gain controlled amplifier constant in response to the control voltage although the external temperature and the power voltage are changed. CONSTITUTION: A gain controlled amplifier provided with a compensation circuit includes a voltage to current converter(501), a gain controlled bias circuit(502) and a gain controlled amplifying unit. The voltage to current converter(501) converts the control voltage signal to determine the gain into a control current signal and outputs the converted control current signal as a proportional current compensated for the temperature and the power voltage. The gain controlled bias circuit(502) supplies the bias in such a way that the power gain has a linear characteristics curve as an exponential function in response to the control voltage by receiving the proportional current outputted at the voltage to current converter(501). And, the gain controlled amplifying unit amplifies the bias control voltage generated at the gain controlled bias circuit(502) to have a constant gain by receiving the control voltage.
