Abstract: The present invention relates to a metal collector for rare metals or rare earth metals containing alginate salt and divalent positive ion salt, a preparation method thereof, and a method of collecting metals using the same. The metal collector of the present invention is capable of effectively absorbing and collecting the rare metals or rare earth metals. The preparation method of the metal collector is environmentally friendly by removing a process of using a harmful chemicals and using a biodegradable polymer material.
