Abstract: The welding current is measured through a ring (4) which is transformed by the electromagetic force of the measuring current. The generating elecromagnetic is proportional to the welding current. A strain gauge (5) attached onto the ring detects the transformation ratio of the ring and provides the output to a recorder (7) through an amplifier (6). The ring may be a circular type, or a C type with small gap.
