    Abstract: PURPOSE: An optical trapping device using plasmonic nanoantennas is provided to form nano-size optical trapping potential, thereby safely and effectively trapping damageable biological particles or particles with low refractive index compared with surrounding materials (fluid). CONSTITUTION: An optical trapping device (1) captures microparticles contained in a fluid (3) by irradiating the fluid by a laser (15). The optical trapping device comprises: a glass (30) containing the fluid; a microparticle trapping laser generator (10) which generates a laser which penetrates the glass and irradiates the fluid; and a nanoantenna (20) which forms a nano-size optical potential well through the laser and captures the microparticles. The nanoantenna is placed on the glass.
