Abstract: Disclosed are an apparatus and a method for generating an application network and an apparatus and a method for providing a user interface using the same. The apparatus for generating an application network includes a use record storage unit which stores a use record including execution time information for each of a plurality of applications previously executed and link information indicating the execution order and frequency of the applications; and a screen configuration unit which varies a plurality of icon sizes corresponding to each of the applications according to the execution time information for each of the applications, varies the sizes of links connecting a plurality of icons according to the link information, and creates an application network on which the icons and the links are displayed to configure a display screen.

Abstract: An apparatus and a method for providing a dynamic customized user interface are disclosed. The apparatus of the present invention includes an output unit which displays a screen; a sensor unit which includes a plurality of sensors to output a plurality of sensing signals; a template setting unit which sets and stores at least one context template; a context determining unit which analyzes the sensing signals, selects a context template corresponding to states of the sensing signals, and transmits a screen setting included in the selected context template; and a control unit which analyzes the screen setting, adjusts the sizes of a dynamic icon arrangement area and a static icon arrangement area, selects at least one icon to be displayed in the dynamic icon arrangement area to correspond to the selected context template, selects icons to be displayed in the static icon arrangement area regardless of the selected context template, configures a screen, and outputs the screen to the output unit.
