Abstract: PURPOSE: A method for evaluating a damage rate of a multi-story structure is provided to measure the acceleration per each story of a multi-story structure and to calculate damage-induced deflection with the acceleration per each story of a multi-story structure, thereby quantitively evaluating the damaged extent of each storey at a rate of damage-induced inter-story deflection and modal flexibility based deflection. CONSTITUTION: A method for evaluating a damage rate of a multi-story structure is as follows. Acceleration signals with respect to a multi-story structure are measured for predetermined time in several stories by using an accelerometer(S10). Modal flexibility matrixes with respect to several stories are calculated based on the measured acceleration signals(S20). Each modal flexibility based deflection of each story is calculated by applying a positive shear inspection load to a modal flexibility matrix(S30). Inter-story deflections of each story caused by a difference between the modal flexibility matrix deflections adjacent to each other are calculated(S40). Damaged-induced inter-story deflection of each stories caused by a difference between the modal flexibility based deflection and a reference modal flexibility based deflection are calculated(S50). An inter-story damage rate is calculated with a rate of the damaged-induced inter-story deflection with respect to the inter-story deflection per each story.

Abstract: PURPOSE: An elbow pipe with an anti-noise member is provided to prevent fluid from being directly contacted to the inner surface of the elbow pipe by dispersing the fluid with an anti-noise member installed inside the elbow pipe, thereby preventing impact noise generated when the fluid impacts on the inner wall of the elbow pipe. CONSTITUTION: An elbow pipe (10) comprises an anti-noise member (100) and multiple through-holes (110). The anti-noise member is a conical funnel shape and is installed inside the elbow pipe. The top of the anti-noise member is positioned in an inlet pipe. The through-holes are formed along the outer circumference of the anti-noise member.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A vacuum noise preventing type elbow is provided to improve the efficiency of reducing noise by effectively blocking noise while preventing the degradation of the performance of the elbow even in long-term usage. CONSTITUTION: A vacuum noise preventing type elbow (EL) includes a vacuum unit (VA) which is formed into a hollow space of a vacuum state on an area of a thickness portion of an outer curved unit (OT) of the elbow. The transmission of noise generated inside the elbow is blocked by the vacuum unit. The vacuum unit is formed into a shape having a predetermined width lengthways along the curved surface of the outer curved unit. The vacuum unit is formed on a thickness portion of the outer curved unit.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A method for detecting damage of a multi-story structure is provided to measure acceleration per each story and to detect partial damages of the each story in advance by calculating a damage-induced inter-story deflection with a simple method. CONSTITUTION: A method for detecting damage of a multi-story structure is as follows. Acceleration signals are measured for the predetermined time in several stories of a measurement object multi-story structure by using an accelerometer(S10). Modal flexibility matrices with respect to the several stories based on the measured acceleration signals is calculated(S20). The positive shear inspection load is applied to the modal flexibility matrices so that modal flexibility base deflections with respect to each story are calculated(S30). A damage-induced inter-story deflection caused by a difference of a reference modal flexibility base deflection before being damaged and the modal flexibility base deflection with respect to each layer(S40). The calculated damage-induced inter-story deflection and a critical damage deflection are compared so that a point of the layer where the damage-induced inter-story deflection exceeds and whether the damage-induced inter-story deflection is exceeded or not are detected(S50).
