Abstract: PURPOSE: A portable mat convertible to a chair with a backrest is provided to be utilized as a mat or a backrest chair according to the need of a user and to be stored or carried with a light weight and small size by folding. CONSTITUTION: A portable mat convertible to a chair with a backrest includes a rectangular-shaped bottom shell(110); a rectangular backrest shell(120) provided to be hinged on to the bottom shell; a first and a side shell(130,140) provided to be respectively hinged on to both sides of the backrest shell and to be foldable; a first and a corner shell(150,160) provided to be respectively hinged on to the bottom shell and both of the first and the second shell to be foldable; and an adjustment belt(170) connecting the bottoms shell and having both ends respectively fixed on to the first and the second shell.
