Abstract: A vibration and shock isolator includes an insulation member and a compression member. The insulation member connects vibration sources and objects. The compression member changes the rigidity of the insulation member by providing compression displacement to the insulation member according to vibrations applied to the insulation member from the vibration sources. Accordingly, a plan frequency of the isolator planned by a specific value can be easily changed in a simply method by using a shape memory wire so that the vibration amplification is suppressed to secure structural stability and to efficiently insulate the vibration.
