Abstract: A stereo matching method based on reliability according to the present invention comprises the steps of: an image storing step for storing an inputted left-eye image and right-eye image in a predetermined unit, respectively; an initial disparity estimating step for estimating an initial disparity for each pixel based on the different between colors of the left-eye image and the right-eye image; a reliability measuring step for measuring reliability based on a cost curve calculated by adding up costs in the step for estimating an initial disparity; a first post-processing step for applying a weight median filter based on the initial disparity and the reliability to modify the initial disparity; and a second post-processing step for comparing, with the current execution result of the weight median filter, processing result information for a pixel processed prior to a pixel being currently processed.
