PURPOSE: A repeater device in a wireless communication system and a method thereof including a convolution decoder are provided to calculate the signal by adding the signal in a real domain from the other side of the transmitter. CONSTITUTION: A repeater device in a wireless communication system and a method thereof including a convolution decoder includes modulators(201, 211), coders(203, 213), and a transmission unit. The modulator modulates the carrier signal according to the modulation sequence. The coder encodes the modulation symbol offered as a convolution code from a modulator. The transmission unit transmits the signal offered from the coder to the repeater station.

PURPOSE: An adaptive transmission method appropriate for a multicarrier DS CDMA(Direct Series Code Division Multiple Access) system is provided, which transmits much data for an equal time and provides a capability of correcting an error according to the kind of data and to a channel state by changing a code rate. CONSTITUTION: According to the adaptive transmission method, information bit of kth user is coded in a transmitter rate compatible punctured convolutional code(RCPS code) encoder(10) and its output(Sk(t)) is sent to a channel(20). A channel output(r(t)) is reverse spread in a receiver and is decoded in a receiver rate compatible convolutional code encoder(30). And a signal to noise ratio and a signal to interference ratio are estimated together with the decoding step. And several error correction code rate are determined to sent the estimated signal to noise ratio and signal to interference ratio to a transmitter and to maintain a proper service quality.

PURPOSE: A signal detection device based on lattice reduction and a method thereof for supporting a different decoding method by each stream are provided to increase the performance of the system with low complexity. CONSTITUTION: A signal detection device based on lattice reduction and a method thereof for supporting a different decoding method by each stream include a plurality of operators, a plurality of encoders(208-1~208-N) and a passing unit. A plurality of operators computes the symbol value by a soft module. The operator generates stream soft decision values. The inner decoder decodes stream soft decision values according to the decoding method. The inner decoder generates the LLR values of the coding words according to the stream coded system.
