Abstract: PURPOSE: A rear collision prevention device is provided to warn the collision of a passenger and an object by calculating the speed and the distance of the object approaching from the rear side. CONSTITUTION: A rear collision prevention device comprises a traveling information input unit(40), a door open sensing unit(20), an object sensing unit(30), first and second warning units(50, 60), and a control unit(10). The object sensing unit detects an object approaching from the rear side. The first warning unit warns a passenger of a collision with the object. The control unit determines the traveling of a vehicle input from the traveling information input unit and calculates collision danger when a vehicle door opened. When a vehicle door opened, collision danger is calculated and warned by the control unit.
