Abstract: PURPOSE: Environmentally-friendly hydrogen peroxide monopropellant is provided to enhance specific thrust by blending hydrogen peroxide and ethanol. CONSTITUTION: Environmentally-friendly hydrogen peroxide monopropellant includes the blend of ethanol and hydrogen peroxide. The purity of the hydrogen peroxide is in a range between 70 and 98 wt%. The mixing ratio of the hydrogen peroxide and the ethanol is 50:1 to 10:1 based on mass. A thruster uses the hydrogen peroxide monopropellant as a propellant. An aircraft emergency power system uses the hydrogen peroxide monopropellant as the propellant.
