Abstract: PURPOSE: A microcapsule is provided to transfer and release a target material which is smaller than the microcapsule, and to be used as a microcarrier by using an anisotropic swelling phenomenon. CONSTITUTION: A method for preparing a microcapsule using the anisotropic swelling of a bilayer hydrogel microparticle comprises: a step of forming a hydrogel layer with a swelling property; a step of adding a polymer layer which does not swell to the formed hydrogel layer, and forming a bilayer hydrogel microparticle; and a step of forming the microcapsule by swelling the formed bilayer hydrogel microparticle.
