    Abstract: 본발명은선형에틸렌-비닐아세테이트알콜중합체(Ethylene-Vinyl acetate Alcohol Polymer, 이하 EVAL polymer이라한다.) 및그의제조방법에관한것이다. 종래의 EVAL polymer는에틸렌과비닐아세테이트를라디칼랜덤(radical random) 공중합시킨후 가수분해(hydrolysis) 하여합성한다. 이때에틸렌에서의체인이동(chain transfer)과비닐아세테이트의메틸(methyl) 쪽의라디칼(radical) 안정화효과로인하여다수의브랜치(branch)가 EVAL polymer에형성된다. 본발명은종래의라디칼랜덤중합방법대신에개환메타테시스중합(ring opening metathesis polymerization)과수소화(hydrogenation), 그리고가수분해 (hydrolysis) 반응을이용하여브랜치가없는선형 EVAL polymer를제조한다. 본발명은브랜치가없는선형 EVAL polymer를제조함으로써식품포장재, 자동차연료탱크, 완구류등에이용되는 EVAL polymer의가스방어특성(gas barrier property) 및결정성(crystallinity)을향상시킨선형 EVAL polymer를제공함을목적으로한다.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: A linear ethylene-vinyl acetate alcohol polymer and a preparation method thereof are provided, which improves gas barrier property and crystallinity of EVAL(ethylene-vinyl acetate alcohol) polymer which is used in food casing, fuel tank of automobile, and toy. CONSTITUTION: A linear ethylene-vinyl acetate alcohol polymer is formed through ring-opening metathesis polymerization, hydrogenation and hydrolysis and through using cyclic monomer as material comprising ethylene and vinyl alcohol. The monomer is octagonal cyclic monomer (from formula 1) comprising an ethylene and vinyl alcohol in a ratio of 3:1. A preparation method of catalyst comprises the following steps: (i) adding carbon tetra-chloride where 2,6-di- phenylphenol is dissolved to the solution where tungsten hexa chloride is dissolved in carbon tetra-chloride; (ii) after performing a flux, removing carbon tetra-chloride under vacuum condition; (iii) washing the obtained solid matter with ethanol, pentane, and performing a re-crystallization by using methylene chloride/ethanol; (iv) washing with ethanol and pentane again and drying under vacuum condition.

    Abstract translation: 目的:提供线性乙烯 - 乙酸乙烯酯醇聚合物及其制备方法,其改善了用于食品外壳,汽车燃料箱和玩具中的EVAL(乙烯 - 乙酸乙烯醇)聚合物的阻气性和结晶度。 构成:通过开环易位聚合,氢化和水解以及通过使用环状单体作为包含乙烯和乙烯醇的材料形成线性乙烯 - 乙酸乙烯酯醇聚合物。 单体是包含比例为3:1的乙烯和乙烯醇的八元环状单体(来自式1)。 催化剂的制备方法包括以下步骤:(ⅰ)将溶解有2,6-二苯基苯酚的四氯化碳溶于六氯化碳溶液中, (ii)在进行助熔剂之后,在真空条件下除去四氯化碳; (iii)用乙醇,戊烷洗涤得到的固体物质,并用二氯甲烷/乙醇进行重结晶; (iv)再次用乙醇和戊烷洗涤并在真空条件下干燥。
