Abstract: An elastic linear joint (100) according to the present invention comprises two spiral members (110) spirally wound at multiple times and having one end (111) fixed on a fixing member of a structure; and a driving member (120) penetrating the center of the two spiral members (110) and fixed on the other end (112) of the spiral members positioned at the center so that the two spiral members (110) can be connected to each other at a predetermined gap. In contract with the existing linear joint, the present invention can perform a precise translation motion without friction because it connects the fixing member and the driving member using the two spiral members without allowance, but only uses the elastic deformation of the spiral members. Also, the present invention has various deformed amount of the linear joint by controlling the wound numbers of the spiral members and variable cross sectional areas. Thus, the present invention can be applied to the driving of mechanical elements or nano/microelements highly affected by the friction.

Abstract: 본발명은구동부와피동부사이의유격없이탄성변형만을이용하여회전운동이가능하고, 정밀조작이필요한기계요소에효과적으로적용가능한탄성유니버설회전조인트에관한것으로, 특히, 마찰력이지배적인마이크로/나노공간에서회전움직임을위한기본요소로활용가능하다. 구조내의유격을제거하기위해, 이중나선형구조를가지는 3개의회전축과조작부를일체형으로결합하여탄성변형만으로회전운동을가지는탄성유니버설회전조인트를구성하였다. 또한, 탄성설계가탄성변형만을활용하므로큰 변위의움직임에제한적인문제를극복하기위하여, 나선형구조의회전수조절을통해탄성변형이가능한구간의길이를증가시킴으로써제한된공간내에서도충분한회전변형량을가지는탄성유니버설회전조인트를구성하였다.

Abstract: An elastic rotary joint of the present comprises a fixing joint member (100) fixed to a structure, a moving joint member (200) rotating for the structure, and a pair of spiral springs (300) having a cross-spring structure by connecting the moving joint member and the fixing joint member in a cross direction and also a spiral structure that some section is sound. The present invention performs precise movements while having a wider rotating angle range than that of the existing cross-spring by adding the spiral structure to the exiting cross-spring. As a result, it is possible to take advantage of rotary joints for precise operation and large rotation of machinery used in various industries. Furthermore, the present invention can be applied to the rotary joint of a nano- or micro-driving device as well as to a robot joint requiring precise operation and high rotating displacement by driving the cross-spring without friction and tolerance.
