    Abstract: PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for recording information in hologram-based automatic identification tag system, and information reproducing device and method are provided to miniaturize the size of an apparatus for recording information by enabling to simply process information recording. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus(100) for recording information in hologram-based automatic identification tag system comprises a hologram pattern generating unit(110), and a hologram pattern recording unit(120). The hologram pattern generating unit generates a two dimensional image corresponding to the digital information to be recorded in an optical tag. The hologram pattern generating unit generates a hologram pattern by quantizing the amplitude of the pixel forming the two dimensional image. The hologram pattern recording unit uses a laser according to the hologram pattern generated by the hologram pattern generating unit. The hologram pattern recording unit records the hologram pattern on the recording layer of the optical tag. The hologram pattern generating unit includes an image transforming unit, a discrete Fourier transformer, a first pattern generating unit, a quantizing unit, and an optimizing unit. The image transforming unit generates the two dimensional image by performing the transformation on the two dimensional array.
