Abstract: To solve the purpose of the present invention, a method for searching a convergence field in a convergence field search apparatus. The method comprises: i) an expertise citation frequency calculating step of allowing a calculation means to calculate citation frequency between areas of expertise to which professional literature belongs, using the citation relation between the professional literature; ii) a convergence field selecting step of allowing the calculation means to select at least one area of expertise among the areas of expertise in a predetermined method using, as an input variable, cited frequency regarding each area of expertise (citing area of expertise) of an area of expertise (cited area of expertise) according to areas of expertise. According to the present invention, the method can quantitatively evaluate the possibility of convergence of areas of expertise, and can quantitatively draw a convergence field in which a desired number of areas of expertise can be converged and can provide a user with the drawn convergence field.
