Abstract: A method and a system for managing personnel information through a network are provided to form an organized information network with members of a company and external people, thereby collecting personnel information. If personnel update information is received from user terminals(102a~102n), personnel information management servers update corresponding personnel information according to the update information. The personnel information management servers transmit the personnel information update information with its identification information to a central management server(120). The central management server updates personnel information corresponding to personal identification information to according to the personnel information update information transmitted from the personnel information management servers. The central management server checks ownership information of the personnel information. The central management server transmits the personnel information update information to another personnel information management server having ownership of the personnel information to synchronize.
