Abstract: PURPOSE: A green computing control device using task management and a method thereof are provided to minimize the energy consumption of a system by executing a task with only nodes required for actually executing the task and blocking tasks of the rest of the nodes. CONSTITUTION: A calculating unit(111) calculates the number of nodes required for task execution in a computer formed of nodes. A comparing unit(112) compares the number of nodes currently executed with the number of nodes required for the task execution. If the number of the nodes currently executed is more than the number of the nodes required for the task execution, a blocking unit(113) selects nodes to block the tasks from the nodes currently executed in order of residual task execution time and blocks the tasks of the selected nodes. A power control unit(114) blocks power of nodes blocking the tasks.
