A DMB handover method using road based channel quality information and a system thereof are provided to supply a continuous broadcast to a DMB viewer moving to another viewing zone and supply a high quality broadcast service. A storage unit stores road based channel quality information and service relation information. A search frequency selection unit(1170) uses a current location of a DMB receiver and road based channel quality information to determine a handover target frequency search sequence. A service continuity determiner(1140) verifies whether to support service continuity of a frequency to be searched by referring to the service relation information. A quality measuring unit(1120) measures quality of a DMB signal to determine whether to start handover.

A system for analyzing a DMB(Digital Multimedia Broadcasting) SFN(Single Frequency Network) and a method thereof are provided to generate reception state analysis information linked with map information by analyzing reception quality information measured from a DMB signal, thus efficient network analysis using the reception state analysis information is available. A map information DB for storing map information is maintained(S210). A transmitting station DB for storing information on each transmitting station is maintained(S220,S230). Each piece of reception quality information on the transmitting stations measured from a DMB signal is collected(S240,S250). The reception quality information is analyzed to generate reception state analysis information linked with one of the map information and the transmitting station information(S260). A real-time reception state is provided from at least one interested transmitting station for the current reception point through each piece of the reception state analysis information(S270).

A signal processing method for a DMB service providing in a handover region and an apparatus thereof are provided to provide the DMB service of the high quality consecutively and to reduce the fading characteristic of the DMB service signal generated in the handover region. A receiving quality confirmation device(510) monitors the received quality of a first DMB service signal received from a first transmitting station. A signal collection portion(520) collects a second DMB service signal from a second transmitting station in case the monitored received quality is not satisfied with set up standard. A signal processing unit(530) processes the first DMB service signal and the collected second DMB service signal.

A bidirectional communication-based DMB handover method and a system thereof are provided to notify a DMB terminal of the optimum channel information at the current location, thereby reducing the DMB handover time. A bidirectional communication-based DMB handover method comprises the following steps of: checking the receipt quality of each location within a specific area, and then storing handover information which includes the checked receipt quality information in a database(301); monitoring the quality of DMB signals received according as a DMB terminal moves(302); determining whether the receipt quality of the DMB signals satisfies a preset condition(303); and if the receipt quality is not satisfied the condition, receiving a handover information request signal from the DMB terminal(304).

A DMB handover method and a system thereof are provided to enable a user to quickly and conveniently confirm the current region on a DMB terminal by inserting information for discriminating regions into a DMB signal. A DMB handover method comprises the following steps of: storing a table in a DMB terminal(110); monitoring the receipt quality of DMB signals provided to the DMB terminal(120); determining whether the strength of the current DMB signal is identical or less to or than a critical value(130); confirming a neighboring region by referring to the table stored in the DMB terminal(140); preferentially scanning a frequency corresponding to the neighboring region to process the handover of the DMB terminal(150).

A method for measuring signal quality in a DMB(Digital Multimedia Broadcasting) measurement device is provided to more accurately and reliably measure and analyze a receiving signal by receiving the DMB signal, calculating a prediction value, and measuring and analyzing the quality of the receiving signal. A DMB measuring device receives a DMB signal(S101). The DMB measuring device calculates a prediction value which is a receiving prediction value of a certain stratum from the received broadcasting signal. The DMB measuring device measures and analyzes the receiving quality of broadcasting data by using the prediction value(S105). The DMB measuring device stores measurement information in which the receiving quality of the broadcasting data is measured and analysis information in which the receiving quality of the broadcasting data is analyzed in a log file(S107). The DMB measuring device plays a broadcasting signal of a time to be analyzed on the basis of the log file, and displays the measurement information and the analysis information(S109).

A method for a handover in a DMB(Digital Multimedia Broadcasting) is provided to supply a handover algorithm for the change of channel environment in a DMB network. Measured is the reception quality related to the first data of a high speed channel that is received from a first broadcasting channel currently connected(S1104), and it is checked over whether or not a handover is necessary by being compared with a preset first quality reference(S1106). A target channel is selected based on pre-obtained service relationship information(S1112). The reception quality of the second data of high speed information channel received from the target channel is compared with the second quality reference(S1116). It is determined whether or not the switching to the target channel is determined(S1118).
