Abstract: The present invention relates to a till of a cash register having a sterilization function. A sterilization device is integrally installed in a till in which bills, coins, etc, are kept in storage in a cash register to automatically perform a sterilization operation for a predetermined period of time when the till is opened and closed to thereby effectively sterilize bills or coins in circulation. The till, which is drawn out of or into as a drawer through a front side of a rectangular casing provided in a body of a cash register and allows various bills and coins to be classified and kept by the medium of a storage frame installed therein, comprises a power supply unit supplying power for an operation of a device, a ultraviolet (UV) lamp emitting UV light having a particular wavelength range to sterilize cash kept in storage, a fan providing a current of air for the bills when the UV lamp operates, a sensor sensing whether the till is opened and closed and generating a signal, and a control board performing general controlling on the device to operate the UV lamp and the fan to sterilize the cash kept in storage for a predetermined period of time according to the signal from the sensor when the till is closed.
