    Abstract: PURPOSE: Catalyst for enhanced activation for hydrogenation of succinic acid is provided to have palladium supported by an alumina carrier containing tungsten and to have acidity that is changed by controlling the amount of tungsten. CONSTITUTION: A catalyst for hydrogenation comprises a almunina carrier including tungsten and palladium supported by the alumina carrier. The total weight of catalyst comprises 0.001-60 weight% of tungsten, 1-30 weight% of palladium, and residual alumina. The catalyst has an acidity of 0.25-0.5. The hydrogenation may be hydrogenation of succinic acid. The manufacturing method of the catalyst for hydrogenation includes the following steps: manufacturing the catalyst from tungsten alumina; dipping palladium into the manufactured tungsten alumina catalyst; drying at 65-100 deg. C for 10-14 hours; and plasticizing at 500-600 deg. C for 3-6 hours.
