Abstract: A process for the production of gamma-linolenic acid comprises inoculating Mucor sp. KCTC 8405P to the nutrition medium containing carbon source, and nitrogen source, and cultivating the broth at 25 deg.C and pH 4.5. The carbon source is pref. a mixture of glucose and sodium acetate.
