Abstract: PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing a conductive silicone-based polymer foam composition is provided to realize light weight of foam usable in electrical appliance or various parts by preparing the silicone-based foam composition into the foam of low-density through a 2-step molding method. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing a conductive silicone-based polymer foam composition comprises the steps of: preparing a compound composition in a sheet-like mixture, wherein the compound composition includes a silicone rubber-based material, conventional additive for rubber, acetylene-based carbon black, and foaming agent; and molding the prepared sheet-like mixture in a first pressurization state to obtain a first in-between foam, then forming the first in-between foam in a atmospheric pressure state to obtain a second silicone foam of low-density.

Abstract: A method for preparing foamed silicone is provided to obtain foamed silicone having low hardness and low specific gravity while maintaining or improving mechanical strength of conventional foamed silicone, and thus useful in various industrial fields including medical industry. A method for preparing foamed silicone comprises the steps of: kneading 100 parts by weight of a polyalkyl siloxane, 0.1-1.5 parts by weight of siloxane-based oil and 60-70 wt% of silicone rubber containing 25-35 parts by weight of SiO2 with 100 parts by weight of silicone-based rubber containing 100 parts by weight of a polyalkyl siloxane, 2.5-4.0 parts by weight of siloxane-based oil and 30-40 wt% of silicone rubber containing 40-50 parts by weight of SiO2, 1-3 parts by weight of a processing aid, 3-4 parts by weight of a foaming agent, 3-4 parts by weight of a foaming agent and 0.7-1.2 parts by weight of a foaming aid to obtain a blend; rolling the blend, forming sheets from the blend and foaming the sheets through pressurized molding; foaming the resultant foam through ambient pressure molding; and heat treating the resultant foam.

Abstract: Provided is ethylene vinyl acetate-based foam, which satisfies low hardness simultaneously with excellent injection moldability, has a low specific gravity and improved bio-affinity, is eco-friendly, and is useful for health care or medical articles. The injection molded ethylene vinyl acetate foam comprises a composition using a resin blend containing 50-90 parts by weight of an ethylene vinyl acetate(EVA) resin and 10-50 parts by weight of an ethylene methyl acrylate(EMA) resin, as a base resin, and has a hardness of 15-18 and a specific gravity of 0.16-0.18. The composition optionally further comprises silver nanoparticles and/or green tea extract. The foam is prepared by kneading the composition at 80-120 deg.C, and masticating, pelletizing and foaming the kneaded composition.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A quencher and a foam compound for injection are provided, to remove the light of the surface of foam effectively, to improve the dimension stability and to enhance the tear strength, the split tear strength and the adhesive strength of a quencher by employing the silica whose surface is modified from hydrophilic one to hydrophobic one. CONSTITUTION: The quencher comprises 100 parts by weight of silica; and 1-10 parts by weight of a silane-based coupling agent for modifying the silica. Preferably the silane-based coupling agent is selected from the group consisting of vinyl trichlorosilane, vinyl tri(2-methoxyethoxy)silane, vinyl triethoxysilane, vinyl trimethoxysilane, 3-methacryloxypropyltrimethoxysilane, 2-(3,4-ethoxycyclohexyl)ethyltrimethoxysilane, 3-glycidyloxypropylmethyldiethoxysilane, N-2-(aminoethyl)-3-aminopropyltrimethoxysilane, N-2-(aminoethyl)-3-aminopropylmethyldimethoxysilane, 3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane, N-phenyl-3-aminopropyltrimethoxysilane, 3-mercaptopropyltrimethoxysilane and 3-chloropropyltrimethoxysilane. The foam compound comprises 100 parts by weight of 100 parts by weight of a base; 1-10 parts by weight of the quencher; and 0.25-1.5 parts by weight of polyethylene glycol or diethylene glycol as a crosslinking stabilizer.
