Abstract: A air premeable alumina honeycomb, which is used for kiln, is composed of 60-40 wt% alumina having common soda, 40-60 wt% alumina having low soda content and sintering agent (1-4 wti% color feldspar, 1-4 wt% talc and 1-4 wt% barium titanate). The molding agent comprises binder (1-1.5 wt% polyvinyl alcohol and 1-2.5 wt% hydoxypyrophyl cellulose), plasticizer(1-2.5 wt% polyethylene glycol and 1.0-2.0 wt% glycerine), lubricating agent (1-4 wt% stearic acid emulsion and 1-4.0 wt% aluminum stearate emulsion) and 13-17 wt% water. The said materials are mixed to slurry, and spray dried, aged, pressure molded, dried and sintered.
