Abstract: PURPOSE: An IPTV service overlay network control device and a method thereof are provided to quickly check similar home channels according to the content watching by an IPTV user. CONSTITUTION: A home IPTV broadcasting registration unit(351) generates a home channel information of registered home channels. A home IPTV EPG(Electronic Program Guide) managing unit(353) receives the home channel information and a home channel usage information of a IPTV terminal(42) on the registered home channels. The home IPTV EPG managing unit determines a home channel preference ranking of the IPTV terminal. The home IPTV EPG managing unit generates a home channel EPG.
